At Throttle & Steel, every cover is made to order and precision etched with your design. Our process ensures your artwork is correctly prepared and approved before engraving begins.
1. Choose Your Cover
Start by selecting the timing point cover or derby cover that fits your motorcycle model.
Our covers are designed to fit:
Harley Davidson Big Twin (1970–1999)
Harley Davidson Sportster XL (1971–2021)
If you're unsure about compatibility, feel free to contact us before ordering.
2. Upload Your Design
Once you've selected your cover, upload the artwork you want engraved.
We accept the following formats:
PNG
JPEG
SVG
AI
PDF
For best engraving results, high-contrast black and white designs work best.
Examples include:
• Club logos
• Custom artwork
• Initials or names
• Motorcycle graphics
• Brand logos (with permission)
3. Confirm Your Layout
Before engraving begins, we review your design to ensure it will engrave cleanly and produce the best possible result.
If any adjustments are needed, we will contact you before production begins.
No engraving starts without design approval.
4. Precision Etching
Once approved, your cover is engraved using precision laser etching technology to produce crisp detail and long-lasting results.
Each cover is engraved individually and carefully inspected before shipping.
5. Production & Shipping
Your custom cover will be produced and dispatched within:
5–7 business days
